I'm not certain whether or not this calendar is official canon, or somebody's home-brew concoction. Doesn't matter! Either way, it is the time keeping system that I will be using for this Adventure Path campaign. We will be starting on the spring equinox in the year 528 NYR. The text doesn't explain, specifically, what NYR stands for... so I'm going to go out on a limb and call it Nerath Years Reckoning.
As observed by Old Nerath, each year is measured by the cycles of the moons Avaundor and Nenorith. Avaundor (Elvish for “Far-Wanderer”) cycles four times throughout the calendar year, appearing full at the beginning of each season (These days also happen to coincide with the quarterly solar equinoxes and solstices). The calendar itself is recorded by the cycles of Nenorith (Elvish for “Star-Sister”), each of which lasts thirty-seven days. The first day of each cycle is regarded seperately as a holy festival, with the remaining thirty-six days broken into six weeks of six days each.
The weekday names are in order: Starday, Sunday, Moonday, Waterday, Earthday, and Godsday. The eight cycles of Nenorith, starting with the Spring Equinox (the first day of the year), are as follows: Anyas, Samath, Udor, Laer, Orbale, Idan, Torath, and Disere.
